We're working with a nationally recognized engineering consultancy looking to add a Structural Bridge Engineer to its growing Connecticut team. If you're a licensed Professional Engineer with experience in bridge design , bridge rehabilitation , and transportation structures , this is an opportunity to work on technically challenging projects while continuing to develop your leadership skills in a collaborative environment.

You'll join a highly respected bridge engineering team delivering projects that improve how communities connect, travel, and grow. What You'll Be Doing

\n
    \n
  • Lead the structural design and delivery of bridge engineering projects from concept through final design.
  • \n
  • Design new bridges and rehabilitation solutions for existing transportation structures.
  • \n
  • Perform structural analysis, design calculations, and prepare construction documents.
  • \n
  • Complete bridge load rating analysis using AASHTOWare BrR.
  • \n
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary transportation teams throughout project delivery.
  • \n
  • Review shop drawings, engineering calculations, and technical submissions.
  • \n
  • Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and resolve construction issues.
  • \n
  • Respond to RFIs and provide technical support during construction.
  • \n
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development.
  • \n
  • Assist with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, staffing, and quality management.
  • \n
  • Build strong relationships with clients and help ensure successful project delivery.
  • \n

What We're Looking For

\n
    \n
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Connecticut.
  • \n
  • 5+ years of experience in bridge engineering or transportation structures.
  • \n
  • Strong background in bridge design , rehabilitation, and structural analysis.
  • \n
  • Experience with:
  • \n
  • STAAD
  • \n
  • SAP2000
  • \n
  • CSI software
  • \n
  • AASHTOWare BrR
  • \n
  • AutoCAD
  • \n
  • OpenBridge Modeler
  • \n
  • Knowledge of:
  • \n
  • AASHTO
  • \n
  • AISC
  • \n
  • ASCE
  • \n
  • ACI
  • \n
  • CTDOT Digital Design Environment
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • \n
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • \n
